History of the Fraternity
Xi Chi Sigma started on February 1, 2003 by 10 individuals who wanted to have an Asian presence at their school. However, on their never-ending search for an Asian fraternity that held to standards of respect, loyalty, and honor, these 10 men agreed to form Xi Chi Sigma. It is the vision of these men to have a fraternity that fosters a lifetime of brotherhood, to establish traditions built of pride and honor, and to increase Asian awareness at our institution and the community of Stockton. The 10 founders of Xi Chi Sigma are Ryan Himeda, Romel Castro, Mark Cajimat, Joseph Aville, Jimmy Wang, Eric Ching, Kyle Hing, Stephen Chhit, Benjamin Yuh, and Rex Nicolas.
Overview of Xi Chi Sigma
Xi Chi Sigma was founded on February 1, 2003 on the Ivy-League styled campus of the University of the Pacific, Stockton; being the first and oldest chartered University in California (1851). Since its inception, it became the first Social Asian Interest Fraternity to represent the Asian community (30% men and women of Asian heritage) at Pacific and the quickest Greek organization to be recognized by the Greek Council, Multicultural Greek Council and Office of Student Life.
It is from the ideals of Honor, Loyalty, Respect, and Brotherhood that Xi Chi Sigma was born. Using these four ideals as tools, the foundation of Xi Chi Sigma was created.
